Ikea's fashion collaboration with Katie Eary

As you already know, I have a strong passion for interior design so it is probably no surprise to you that I am going to discuss the recent limited edition collaboration between the billion pound Swedish homeware store, Ikea and the London based menswear designer, Katie Eary. The new GILTIG collection is anything but ordinary with it's wacky graphics comprising of eye ball, brain and teeth animations in bold complex colours. The prints are even slightly psychedelic in a futuristic, humorous way to reference the designers recent catwalk shows over the last couple of years which have included cool prints such as quirky blue cats and hot pink and orange leopard prints.

The prints are plastered across all types of household items such as bedding, lampshades, textiles and crockery but the prints can also be found on tea towels, aprons and paper napkins allowing you to add one of these cool designer items to any room in your household.

Furthermore, if your a fan of Katie Eary's vivid style, Ikea have two other designers who they are collaborating with later this year to combine textile and homeware in an even bigger innovative and creative way. These designers are Walter Van Beirendonck and Martin Bergström who both expertise in fashion and textile design and equally have a bold, eccentric style.
