Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell's Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Campaign Recreation

This week Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell showed the power of just a plain white t-shirt and jeans by joining together in support of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and to replicate the original campaign that they starred in twenty years ago in 1996. The campaign, shot by legendary photographer, Mario Testino was originally created by American fashion designer Ralph Lauren after he lost his close friend, Washington Post fashion editor Nina Hyde to cancer. Now twenty years later after the first campaign was released, a number of labels such as Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Topshop, River Island, Laura Ashley, Simply Be and Blow Ltd, are taking part in the campaign by creating exclusive products and collections with at least 30% donation going towards Breast Cancer Now's research.

The collections by each retail brand are as stylish as ever and really embracing the summer vibes for next season so it is ensured that you will look good in whatever you purchase and know that you will be helping to stop breast cancer and save lives at the same time!

In further support of the moving campaign, Kate Moss recently told the magazine WWD in an interview,
"It’s great to be returning to support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer on this very special anniversary year. Since its UK launch in 1996, when I first appeared in the campaign poster, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has gone on to impact so many lives by funding vital research into this devastating disease."

Unbelievably, the cause has not just united these two iconic models but also other parts of the industry such as designers, photographers, retailers and even scientists in order to promote awareness, raise funding and ultimately create a powerful force to fight against the life threatening disease and not stop till they win.

Although Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss are the leading faces for the campaign, it has also featured other iconic models including Claudia Schiffer, Twiggy, Elle Macpherson, Georgia May Jagger, Sienna Miller, Lily Donaldson and Yasmin Lebon, who have helped raise over £16 million in aid of cancer research in the past twenty years.

It is fair to say that Naomi and Kate have still got it after looking at the two campaigns side by side and they just keep getting better and better!
